At Pool Swimmer, our vision is simple:
- Sign and work with great artists, bands and producers that we truly love – no matter the “commercial viability” of their sound.
- Produce albums with our artists, not just singles. Call us throwback, but we want to create music that you put on and listen to from start to finish.

Industry veteran, Jon Murray, is the Managing Partner of Pool Swimmer Records & Publishing. Jon oversees the business management of both the Records and Publishing arms of Pool Swimmer. Jon has over 20 years of direct experience working in the music industry. As an artist, Jon fronted Northern California based bands M.I., The Darwins, and later, Crash The Machine. Jon has performed for thousands of fans playing in concert bills with Agent Orange, Cake, and more. His music has been reviewed in Billboard Magazine and performed on broadcast and internet radio stations around the world. Jon is a writer & publisher member of ASCAP, a member of The Recording Academy and a professional member with the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP).
On the business side of the music industry, Jon also led CTM Music for several years, an independent record label and music publishing company. Here, Jon managed: product development, physical & digital distribution, PRO registrations, direct marketing, sync licensing, social media campaigns and the company's financials.
Additionally, Jon has significant experience in managing multi-million dollar operations for one of the top technology companies in the world. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland, University College.
